Air of Control (The Spark Keepers Book 1)

When a wealthy tech tycoon, Leonard Hawke, changes the world with his invention—the Compliance Mist—life becomes peaceful. No more wars. No more crime. No more chaos. But there’s a cost: emotions, ambition, and free will are gone too. Every week, drones release the Mist, keeping people calm, obedient… and empty. But Rye knows the truth. The Mist doesn’t fix the world—it steals what makes people human. As one of the few who are immune, Rye is a Spark, able to think, feel, and fight back. But being different is dangerous. The Regulators hunt Sparks. If they catch you, you disappear. Then Rye meets Sia—fearless, fast, and just like him, she's a Spark. She isn’t just trying to survive. She’s ready to fight. Together, they plan to break Hawke’s control and wake the people they love. It seems impossible. But the thing about Sparks... they spread. And the fire grows.
