Checked In with the Wolf (Black Briar After Dark Book 1)

She came to the mountain to escape her life. She found a house full of secrets, a wolf who could ruin her, and a desire too dangerous to survive halfway. After a public betrayal leaves her career in ruins and her engagement shattered, Celia Dunn accepts a mysterious invitation to Black Briar, a remote luxury estate hidden deep in the mountains. She tells herself it is only a temporary escape. A week to breathe. A week to disappear. Then she meets Garrick Holt. Scarred, watchful, and far too dangerous to trust, Garrick is everything Celia should avoid, especially when Black Briar begins to reveal that it is no ordinary retreat. The house knows too much. The nights are full of teeth and shadows. And something outside the walls has caught her scent. Garrick wants her. That much is clear from the moment she crosses the threshold. What he does not tell her, at first, is that he is a wolf shifter bound to protect Black Briar and everyone inside it, including her. And the closer Celia gets to him, the harder it becomes to tell where safety ends and surrender begins. Because Black Briar answers desire with temptation. But it answers choice with something far more permanent. Now Celia must decide whether to run from the wild pull between them, or claim the only place, and the only man, that has ever made her feel truly wanted. Checked In with the Wolf is a steamy paranormal romance featuring a possessive wolf shifter, a mysterious mountain house, forced proximity, high heat, and a heroine who chooses exactly what is hers to give.
