For Pucking Keeps: A Hockey Romance (The Seattle Vipers Series Book 1)

I moved to Seattle for gray skies, rainy days, and the hope that a change of scenery might cure my writer’s block. What I didn’t expect was to fall for the captain of the Seattle Vipers. I’m Alexis Rhodes, though most readers know me as Jazminne Starr, indie romance author. After heartbreak, deadlines, and a serious case of writer’s block, moving across the country felt like my last shot at saving my career. Writing a sports romance seemed like the perfect solution. A hockey romance. Easy, right? Little did I know my desperate attempt to write the next bestseller would lead me straight to the ice—and to Torrance “Tor” Bailey, superstar captain and center of the Seattle Vipers. With Tor helping me learn everything there is to know about pucks, sticks, and life inside the locker room, I threw myself into the game. Somewhere between research and late-night conversations, I realized I wasn’t just writing a love story anymore. I was living one. What started as inspiration for my next book quickly became something real—something messy, passionate, and impossible to ignore. I took our story, shared it with the world and lost everything. This may be a hockey romance, but it was never about the game. We were playing for keeps—and I didn’t see it coming until it was almost too late. But maybe it’s not too late for a happily ever after. For Pucking Keeps is a standalone hockey romance and the first book in The Seattle Vipers series. The Seattle Vipers series follows the players of Seattle’s hottest hockey team as they fight for love on and off the ice.
