Tom was starting to believe that malicious forces were deliberately destroying his life. It turns out they were just trying to get his attention. Tom is a man struggling against uncommonly constant adversity. Discovering why, he is soon transported to a strange realm based on mid-nineteenth century England. Ruled by Lord Sod, of Sod’s Law fame, it is populated by folk who barely reach Tom’s waist in height. His mission, like it or lump it, is to help rebels overthrow a cruel tyrant while simultaneously freeing Earth of Sod's malign interference.
