Her dad decides a change of scenery might pull her out of her funk and forces her to come with him to Cleveland. They stay with Grandma Morgan, who recently lost her sister, Dotty’s Aunt Bernice. Aunt Bernice was an accomplished inventor. Dotty discovers one of Bernice’s final inventions produces high levels of supernatural energy. Her investigation accidently unleashes a giant lake monster on Cleveland’s summer beach crowds.
