Weak Link: Links of the Dragon Academy, book 1

ONE HUMAN. TWO DANGEROUS DRAGONS. AND A SECRET BURIED IN HER BLOOD. Joylin Grey was on her way to graduating at the top of her class in Combat Magic. Then an academic exchange she never wanted sends her across the Magical Wall to Skymor Academy, where dragons rule and humans are expected to know their place. All Joylin wants is to survive her final year and go home. But that plan doesn't last a day. Assigned to one of Skymor's strongest combat teams, Joylin is promptly labeled the Weak Link by its arrogant captain, Kieran Velgard. His dangerously charming rival, Arden Darion, takes an interest in her for reasons he won't explain. Neither dragon seems to understand that Joylin has no intention of being pushed around. But proving herself in combat turns out to be the least of her problems. Her magic is behaving in ways it shouldn't, and a strange artifact she's worn since childhood may hold the key to a past she can't remember. When the one man who seems to recognize it is murdered, Joylin begins to suspect that her arrival at Skymor was no accident. Surviving a year among dragons was supposed to be the hard part. Now Joylin must discover who brought her to Skymor—and why the truth is worth killing for.
